S1SFLMODE can be overlayed w/ an indicator variable or mapped via a pointer in the D specs. As a bonus, the boolean variable can be named a little more expressively.

Since it's not an indicator, you'd have to do this, which frankly is a log
uglier than the way you're currently doing it :)

(The parenthesis isn't necessary, but it adds a bit of clarity)
