Gosh that's an easy one:
First, here's the prototype:
.....DName+++++++++++EUDS.......Length+TDc.Functions++++++++++++++++++++
     D ltoa PR * ExtProc('__ltoa')
     D nUINT 10I 0 VALUE
     D szRtnBuffer * Value
     D nRadix 10I 0 Value

Note that there are two underscore characters in front of the ltoa name in
the ExtProc keyword.
I also used the long version since it works with 8 byte ints instead of just
the 4-byte ints of itoa.
To use it to convert to 1010101100 etc.

     D myValue S 30A
     D SomeNumber S 7P 0 Inz(3741)
     C callp ltoa(someNumber : %addr(myValue) : 2)

You might have to strip off a trailing null terminated string X'00' but I
don't remember off hand if that's necessary.

Hope this helps.

Subject: itoa Function examples

I'm trying to convert a numeric value to a binary value and I stress the
word trying. I'm using the itoa function to try this. First can anyone
tell me if this is possible? Second can anyone tell me where I could
find some good information on the itoa function as it relates to RPGIV?
Finally does anyone have any suggestion, tips, secrets, or anything in
regards to converting numeric values to binary values?

Thanks
