A more recent version of the table, which also lists the newer CCSIDs that include the Euro sign, is here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/nls/rbagsccsidcdepgscharsets.htm Funny though that CCSID 5348 is missing from the list. These days (in V5R2, that is), when you open a stream file (using the open() API) with code page 1252, the file gets CCSID 5348. As far as I can tell, 5348 is 1252 + Euro sign (like 1148 is 500 + Euro sign). We had some problems with CPYTOSTMF and CPYTOIMPF with CCSID 5348: they reported that CCSID conversion could not be performed. I just tested again (we had some PTFs installed this weekend) and now CPYTOSTMF gives no errors; CPYTOIMPF gave the same error and reported that no records were copied, but the stream file contains the correct data. Um, have to throw in some RPG, I think. Right, I did the open() from RPG. Is that enough, David?
