Re: OVRTAPF Using OPT01

I guess so, but I've never done it that way before. Where would I find
the IFS api's?

I just want to be able to create an application that would read directly
from OPT01 without having to load this file onto the system. This file
will be updating 9 of our land management db files.

If you can read/write from the IFS using the IFS api's couldn't you do the

same with '/QOPT/...' for your CD?

Re: OVRTAPF Using OPT01

It's a 'flat file' ascii pc based. I just put it into OPT01, I believe
it's comma separated variable (.CSV).

>>> scottmildenberger@xxxxxxxxx 01/20/04 10:09AM >>>
Is it really a DB file on the CD? If so, how is it saved on
there? I use CPYFRMSTMF to pull files off a CD on OPT01.
