This is easy to do with Java and JTOpen, which you can call from RPG if
necessary

This is from the dataqueue examples

The following example creates a DataQueue object, reads data from the
DataQueueEntry object, and then disconnects from the system.

                       // Create an AS400 object
     AS400 sys = new AS400("mySystem.myCompany.com");

                       // Create the DataQueue object
     DataQueue dq = new DataQueue(sys, "/QSYS.LIB/MYLIB.LIB/MYQUEUE.DTAQ");

                       // read data from the queue
     DataQueueEntry dqData = dq.read();

                       // get the data out of the DataQueueEntry object.
     byte[] data = dqData.getData();

                       // ... process the data

                       // Disconnect since I am done using data queues
     sys.disconnectService(AS400.DATAQUEUE);

I was wondering if there is an API that will let me use
the DTAQ on a remote AS/400 from a local AS/400. It seems that I can access
a DTAQ object on any AS/400 on the WAN from any PC on a WAN but not from
AS/400 to AS/400.
