Duane, >And wasn't that on the System/32, not the 36? Very similar syntax was used by $MAINT on the S/3, S/32, S/34, S/36, and even in the S36EE under OS/400. Most people dealt with procedures which called $MAINT though, such as TOLIBR, for copying files into a library. The S/36 just added some keywords to the // COPY statement for member attributes which did not exist on the earlier incarnations. Doug
