RE: Sharing variables between procedures

I want to know the values of the last record retrieved for each sort
sequence.  I use this information to determine whether the file pointer for
a particular logical file needs to be moved when the procedure is executed
with the "Next" or "Previous" option.

I guess I don't understand what you're trying to do.  Typically, I TRY
to get all my procedures to share a common buffer where practical.  I
can't quite get my brain around why you want multiple copies of the
data.
