The fields of display file have the same name of the fields that are in the
database files !

I select the field to update in the display file and then, once this record
is update i write a new record,
so what i want is :

- The update record must not stay in display
- The new record must stay in display with the other records

Thank You !

Luis Martins.

Is the problem that the field names are the same in the old file and the
new
file?

If so, name the DSPF screen field with another name and when the field
value
you want to display is available in the program, populate the screen fields
using an eval statement..

I have 2 database files with keys an 1 display file, and i update the first

database file

and write a new record on this file and then update the second database

file.

I want to display the new record that i wrote ont the first database file

and the other records , and

i don't want to display the record that i updated of first database file.

How can i do that in RPG ?
