but

EVAL pConstParm = %ADDR(ConstParm)

Also to answer Bob's question, yes, this is true as of V5R1. But it would appear you're out of luck wrt V4R5.

Basically, you can test the address of a CONST parm. But saving it in a basing pointer variable is not allowed to prevent you from changing the parameter via a based variable.
