Hmmm . . . I guess I didn't read up on that product enough. I thought it just did the storage of XML documents. I went to a IBM Tech session about 2 years ago in the Rochester Labs and they did a high level presentation on it, but the didn't mention any functionality that would do as the site suggests. After doing some more research I am thinking that a tool like I am proposing still has validity. I am basing that on what appears to be IBM's method of retrieving DB2 data into XML found at this link http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r1/ic2924/books/c2711720.pdf page 184 through 191. Anybody know what they are charging for that product? I tried to find it on IBM's site but gave up after 10 minutes. Maybe it would be better to name my tool dbToxml:-) That way it wouldn't be implying only DB2 databases could be queried for result sets. It might be worth your while to familiarize yourself with it: http://www-3.ibm.com/software/data/db2/extenders/xmlext/xmliseries/ Regards, John Taylor _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
