Bill, do you know how many files you want to open all at the same time?

how about something like:

fFile1     if   e           k disk    extfile(varFileName1)
fFile2     if   e           k disk    extfile(varFileName2)
fFile3     if   e           k disk    extfile(varFileName3)
fFile4     if   e           k disk    extfile(varFileName4)
fFile5     if   e           k disk    extfile(varFileName5)
fFile6     if   e           k disk    extfile(varFileName6)
...etc.
