Carlos you could keep a copy of your message files in your test environment, add to those files as needed, and just before installing, clean it up and as part of your install process, do a MRGMSGF command. Read the help on it - it takes your test message file and merges it with the production msgfile. of course, this is not something that shouldn't have procedures and processes to insure you don't mess up an existing/working message, but it's something to consider. rick ----original message------- How do you people admin the *MSGF objects ? Just creating messages as needed directly on the file with WRKMSGD/ADDMSGD commands ? or maybe some kind of source file to create/modify it ? any utilities recommended ? Thanks for your comments, hints, etc. Carlos K.
