Peter, did you see my response on how to do this?
One line of code in RPGIV.
Of course if your original value is character, you need to first move it
into a TIME field in RPG.

I want to convert from HH:MM:SS to ##########;  this should be the
representation of the current time.  I am not interested in hours, minutes

seconds, just the pure equivalent of the time in milliseconds.
