I don't get it. What's the joke? The MOVE opcode was defined and implemented when Hans was in short pant. How has Hans suddenly become responsible for MOVE? I don't get the joke. Has the MOVE opcode been changed in some way? MOVE has so many variations that messing with it would be a real disaster. Please don't tell me that MOVE has been changed. Don't even tell me that Hans (or anyone) is trying to create MOVE in Free Form. Gads that would be awful!! What is the joke?? --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Date: Thursday, July 03, 2003 8:37:03 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: What the compiler does, or not? > From: Behalf Of Hans Boldt > > Anyways, as far as I'm concerned, it's the job of the lexicographer > to describe how the language is used, not to prescribe its proper usage. This from the man who wants to tell me when and where I can use the MOVE opcode. And no, I'm not going to debate whether its ironic <grin>. Joe
