I saw that one too, and while I think that it might be a good idea if you
were maintaining software for distribution, or had a really large staff who
could all be adding to a service program that might be useful.

but in my environment, and at the level and number of service programs i'm
working with, i'd like to keep it simple.  It's just me right now writing
them, which leaves the responsibility to me to keep them strait.

Actually, Buck and someone else yesterday (sorry, I don't remember who)
made a pretty good case for *CURRENT/*PRV SIGNATURE('version info').
Perhaps you meant to say WWBD = What would Buck do.
