You need to perform an EXCEPT statement in your 'C' specs, and add the
record format in your 'O' specs.

ex:
  *  file to update
 FLINVNT01  UF   E           K DISK

  *  update statement in 'C' spec
 C                   EXCEPT    INVUPD

  *  update file in 'O' spec
 OPINVNTF1  E            INVUPD
 O                                       IVNPRC
 O                                       IVPERS




Hi all,
How to update a file with 'O' Spec.?  I want to update only 2 fields of a
file which has 40 fields.
If possible, please provide the code sample.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
