SEU can be enhanced with user-defined line commands.  The F7 and F8 can
also be customised to local requirements.

I imagine the split/join function has already been written by someone - I
vaguely recollect an article someplace.

Alternatively, use the ALT+S and ALT+J functions in CODE.
