Hi Dan, SEU allows user-defined line commands and allows F7 & F8 to be user-defined. See the SEU manual at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r1/ic2924/books/c0926050.pdf and check out the sample program in Appendix E, the one using ILE RPG with pointers: "The split-join program uses F7 as the user-defined line command key to invoke the| split-join function. If data exists beyond the cursor position in the text when you| press F7, the line is split from the cursor position by inserting a new line. If the line| is blank after cursor position, then the data from the next line is joined to the data| in the line where the cursor is positioned." hth, Peter Dow Dow Software Services, Inc. 909 793-9050 voice 909 793-4480 fax 909 522-3214 cell ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan" Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2003 3:01 PM Subject: Re: Secret SEU commands > SPLITTING LINES > Is anyone using a function in SEU that splits a single line into two at the point where the cursor > sits? Man, I would use that every day!
