The languages in the chart fit several categories: procedural, functional, simulation, object-oriented, logic-programming, scripting. RPG (at least the more recent variants) fits in the category of procedural languages.


(Actually, I have a number of quibbles with the chart. For example, Python borrows more from Lisp than it does from C. And Ruby is not a "hardware description language".)
