I think it has more to do with the call level of the override. Pgm A overrides the print file at level 2, then returns to level 1 (the CL), then calls Pgm B which runs at level 2 again. But does the override created by Pgm A go away when Pgm A closes? -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Richard B Baird Sent: Thursday, May 15, 2003 9:11 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Printer Override Griz, from what I can tell, it 'should' work (though I usually do my overrides in CL). it might have something to do with using qcmdexc. if you want to 'just get it to work', then try doing the overrides in the same program the printer file is in - make it usropn, do your qcmdexc override and open in the *inzsr and delete override and close in total time LR. I know that will work, unless you don't know the override info in the printer program... hth, rick
