Hey All The team of programmers I'm working with here at my client is getting some interesting behaviour from the RPGLE compiler under V5R1 with the *INZSR subroutine. I coded a module about two months ago that has a single subprocedure. Within that subprocedure is an *INZSR routine. It compiles just fine. My co-workers used this code as a template for their new modules. One programmer coded a module with a single subprocedure, the other coded a module with three subprocedures (one exported, two private). Additionally, these modules use SQL, whereas the original module did not. Neither of these modules compile, and the ILE RPG compiler issues the following message: *RNF5425 The *INZSR subroutine cannot be defined in a subprocedure. If that's the truth, then why did my original module compile? I had a read through the RPG manuals and about the only thing I found no text saying, "Thou shalt not put *INZSR in a subprocedure." Any ideas, anyone? Thanks -Doc __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.yahoo.com
