RE: AS400 to EXCEL

Have a look at the archives at www.midrange.com.  Search on "Excel" and you
will find at least one, if not several discussions on this topic.

I don't think FTP will really help you except to get the data from the file
to whereever you intend to transform it into an Excel spreadsheet.
