Have a look on my example for V5R2: D pgmname PR ExtPgm('pgmname') D p$GASS Like($GASS) D r$GEMDS Like($GEMDS) Options(*NoPass) D $GASS E DS ExtName(YGASS) Qualified D $GEMDS E DS ExtName(YGEMDS) Qualified D PgmName PI D p$GASS Like($GASS) D r$GEMDS Like($GEMDS) Options(*NoPass) YGASS and YGEMDS are PFs used to describe the DS $GASS an $GEMDS, where $GASS is an input parameter and $GEMDS an output parameter, but this effects nothing in the specification. The keyword "Qualified" is an option; if specified, you must use the fieldnames qualified (e.g. $GASS.FieldA).
