The menu "GO CLEANUP" has options for maintaining or even "if" to run cleanup. You need a faily high level of security to see all the menu options. I have always maintained thru this menu, and have no problems release to release. The cleanup itself deletes old job logs, qhst files, system journal receivers all based on #days set im the menu options. It is a good thing to run. EVTW in this case is waiting on the time specified to execute. Usually defaults to 10:00pm but can change on menu. Will not interfere with your user jobs, but don't run this during a backup! jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephane Leon" <s.leon@xxxxxxx> To: "RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries" <rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2003 7:42 AM Subject: RE: a qutetion about job > i think is because this job is waiting for an event. > And the event is the cleanup you can manage by go cleanup. > And you can customize the cl qsys/Qezusrclnp by rtvclsrc. > > > > I have a job QEZSCNEP in subsystem QCTL. the status is EVTW. > > what is the reason? > > thanks! > _______________________________________________ > This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list > To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/rpg400-l > or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l. > >
