Mike, Splitting hairs, I'm sure, but calls through the command line don't alter the need to pass a pointer. It just means that the command line parser must extract the parm values from the command string, guess how they need to be formatted, park them into a buffer, and pass those addresses to the called program. It's easy to see why there are problems with this process.....
