Yes it does.  And that was the problem.  SETLL works fine with Date

I am trying to set up a file pointer to the beginning of the file with

key field defined as a DATE filed in the file. If *LOVAL used, it

seams to positioning my pointer to the end of the file instead of

beginning. I would appreciate any help.
