I have a simple test program that compiles fine. As soon as I add the single line: Dstr s o class(*JAVA:'java.lang.String') The compiler complains: 7 DStr S o class (*JAVA:'java.lang.String') ======> a bbbbb *RNF3302 20 a 000700 The Data-Type entry is not valid; defaults to blank *RNF3308 20 b 000700 Keyword name is not valid; the keyword is ignored. Seems we aren't set up to call Java from RPG?? We do have Java set up an running on our systems and I can compile and run Java programs. Our sysadmin did a quick check and couldn't find any PTFs that looked like we needed them. Any ideas? Thanks. -mark (Please note that although I've been doing Java/C/etc development for 6 years I'm an RPG newbie. And none of the seasoned RPG guys at my shop do this type of stuff.)
