I just tried the following break
BREAK 767 when bquafy = 'N' AND when *in39 ='1'
and I got a syntax error.
I was really excited about using compound breaks but they do not seem to
work..
Oh and I am at v5r1 as well...

It's not the destination that counts in life it's the journey. The journey
with the people we love is all that really matters. Such a simple truth so

Did you try:

Subject: interactive debug; break nnn WHEN condition

This is getting annoyingly frustrating. I'm running interactive debug and
am trying to set
conditional breakpoints. Any BREAK statement that generates a syntax error
gives you only that
there is a syntax error and the position in the statement. Help on the
"syntax error" message
tells you only "press F1 (Help) while the cursor is on the debug command
line to show the correct
syntax for the debug command." What a joke. I have found nothing that
describes in any detail
the valid syntax for the WHEN condition; it's certainly not in the online
help. The Interactive
Source Debugger manual (BTW, the latest edition either in Softcopy or
InfoCenter is dated 1994 for
V3R1!) gives squat for examples in the section titled "Setting Conditional
Breakpoints".

Here is the statement that is giving me fits:
   BREAK 396 WHEN P_JOBNUM = '2ACZ0093' AND W_WIPSTA = 'W'
                                            ^
The cursor is found where the ^ is positioned. I am starting to think that
the WHEN clause (?)
only supports testing one field. That couldn't possibly be true for modern
development debugging
tools, could it? Well, I suppose that if Interactive Source Debugger
hasn't been touched in 9
years and 9 releases, it's possible.

Is it time to call ASNA?

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. BTW, this is on a
v5r2 box.

TIA, Dan
