Found it.  Dopey me-- I was sending the message to Call Stack Entry = 
"*",  Call Stack Counter = 0.  Stupidly, on my part, this is the current 
function!  What I needed to do was send the message back a level-- Call 
Stack Entry "*", Call Stack Counter = 1.  That way, the message ends up 
with the driver program where I wants it.  Sorta like SNDPGMMSG MSGQ(*PRV).
