Mark,

Try replacing the file name in the CHAIN with the format name. That burns
me frequently when I use %KDS. I have always used the file name on chains
and old habits die hard. :)

Subject: %kds

Hello all,

Since upgrading to V5R2, I've jumped feet first into the world of /FREE.
(sorry, joe). I'm having a problem with a keylist: here are the
particulars:

Logical File Layout:
** Beginning of data **************************
   R SLQNTYSQ PFILE(SLQNTY)
   K HOUSE
   K ITNBR
   K LLOCN
***** End of data *****************************

Data structure:

     DkeyFlds DS
     D key_house 3 overlay(keyFlds:*next)
     D key_itnbr 15 overlay(keyFlds:*next)
     d key_location 7 overlay(keyFlds:*next)

RPG Code and Error:

           chain %kds(keyFlds:2) Slqntyl7;
RNF7071S Number of KFLDs in KLIST is greater than number of key fields in
file.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Mark
