Yeah, I figured as much. <g>

Re: "removal of the MOVE opcode" - I am decidedly "on the fence" on this one.
Personally
speaking, I think it will just be a matter of time before I assimilate and
forget once and for all
that MOVE ever existed.

Re: "lack of SQL support" - I saw SQL mentioned when I wasn't paying close
attention to this
thread. Since SQL is in its own little code block anyway, i.e.:
C/EXEC SQL DECLARE C2 CURSOR FOR
C+ SELECT JOBNUM, JOBDSP, CLICD, NREVN, CCPTYP
   C+ FROM PCPJOBHDR
   C+ WHERE CMPNUM = 30 AND GRPID = :PGRPID
   C+ ORDER BY JOBNUM
   C/END-EXEC
how is SQL affected by /free?

Re: "more a syntactical rather than an architectural change" - I agree, but
isn't the whole point
of /free to make it easier for the programmer to write understandable code? I
understand that
/free will also make it possible to write horrendous code, more so than
non-/free RPG. But that's
where standards come in. Yes? No?
