Jerry,

I just created a procedure in a service program to
encapsulate the date field manipulation.  Are you
using /free format?  I believe you can do this there
but I'm not there yet so don't have the syntax.  Also,
I assume you are aware that *DATE and UDATE are the
job date and not necessarily today.
