I have a vague recollection of doing this once. If I recall correctly, you can use the KEYFLD keyword of OPNQRYF to specify the sequence of records and the SEQONLY keyword may be used to specify whether the records may be accessed randomly. I believe that SEQONLY(*NO) will allow you to specify keyed access in RPG and to do SETLL, CHAIN, READE, etc. Hope that helps. Donald R.
