Murali - why are you using FMTDTA? It's pretty antiquated, and doubt it will
carry much weight in an interview if you list it as one of your skills. But
to your point of not getting data into the outfile: we would have to see the
actual FMTDTA commands you have in DASORT50 to determine what might be going
wrong.

May I suggest you abandon the FMTDTA, and switch to OPNQRY or SQL...?
