You'd think DDS would figure out that an I (int) datatype would have been a better choice. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com] On Behalf Of Barbara Morris Sent: Monday, December 16, 2002 8:33 PM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: 4b vs 10i (was API QIMGCVTI ) Bob Cozzi wrote: > ... > although you can't store 20i0 in the database. :( > ... Yes you can. I think it was in V4R5 that 18B was added to DDS. RPG didn't add an 18B type - in externally-described files and DS, these fields map to a 20I, without having to code EXTBININT(*YES) in the H spec. DDS doesn't allow non-zero decimals for the 18B type. _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
