(ooops, I may have hit send prematurely. still getting used to Outlook 2000) Okay. CL has no date data type. The CL has the parameter variable defined as *CHAR. I wrote a new RPGLE procedure to accept the *CHAR parameter. While debugging, stepped into rtvWeekOfYearA and charDateIn still contains gobbledygook. What's going on? I've had no trouble using procedures in RPGLE. This is the first time I've used CLLE CALLPRC with a parameter to get a return value. :( Thanks...
