These journals are quite cryptic. Others on this list, (or was it the
midrange-l list), have shown me some examples.

This example deals with spool file journalling:
http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200210/msg01855.html

But essentially the difficulty is that using the various *TYPE's also
requires that you use the right skeleton file to go to an outfile.

You could also try the journalling API's:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/apis/jc1.htm

Or more specifically:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/apis/QJORJRNE.htm

Some people have decided to use triggers instead of, or in addition to,
journalling. This allows you to capture before and afters and you can
easily control the format.

Dear Guys,
I have journaled a BOM file in As/400, but I can't find a way to
read it in RPG program. Of course, I know to display the journaled file,
but it is very unconvenience. Any one can share your program or other
experience?

Good Luck.
Ren
