Thanks long day- "Never Mind" I had quick changed to z-adds from eval to fix
live, got same
message. Then got asked to look at other need now problems. Just realized
you were right it should have worked.
Looked again and
Two statements down in code they had also made this change Eval X = 12 *note
X = 1 0 changed date 10/24/02.
When asked before if any other changes had been made "No" was reply.

Ouch.  The client should have read the FAQ entry at http://faq.midrange.com
search for "garbage parameter"

Are you absolutely sure that z-add parm15 parm2 results in a "too small"
error?  z-add truncates on my V5R1 box.
