RE: Writing records to database.

I'm coming to this discussion late, so I apologize if I'm repeating
anything.

A few years ago, we tested the use of FEOD against using logical files.
Apparently, record blocking is not used when writing records to a logical
file.  Performance was something like ten times better writing to the
logical file instead of using FEOD and writing to the physical file.

Use the FEOD op-code on the file before calling the program.  FEOD will
force all records to the file, so that they can be read.
