Well, I cannot for the life of me figure out where the code in your SAVF
and what I typed in differ, but when I compile yours, it works like a
charm.  Thanks!

The save file is at:
     http://klement.dstorm.net/rpg/socktut/socktut.savf

To put it on your AS/400, you'll need to first create an empty save
file there (CRTSAVF QGPL/SOCKTUT)  then FTP that file from your PC
to the AS/400 in binary mode:

        ftp as400.example.com
        cd qgpl
        binary
        put socktut.savf qgpl/socktut
        quit

Finally, restore the library:

        rstlib savlib(socktut) dev(*savf) savf(qgpl/socktut)

Once you've done that, you can use CMPPFM to see the differences between
mine and yours.  Good Luck!
