I was going to write a response to you expressing my opinion of the worthlessness of named activation groups, but I see Scott Klement beat me to it. So for my reply, go back and read Scott's message again. The only thing I would add is that named activation groups leave files hanging open until the job ends (or the activation group is reclaimed), which is something that I don't like.
