Thanks Rob, that was it! Of course, the question does come to mind: if the command name is CRTSQLRPGI, indicating an RPGILE module, and almost all RPG runs on an AS/400, and I'd be willing to bet that the majority of them are NOT journaling, shouldn't the command default be *NONE? Either that or my view of the world is far too simplistic... :-) Joel R.
