Actually, yes, there was one useful application for MODS. Prior to V5R2, it was one way to fake out a two-dimensional array. Other than that, finding good uses for the MODS was a bit of a stretch. But in V5R2, coding an "array data structure" should be preferred over MODS. Plus, by combining array data structures with LIKEDS array subfields, you can now more easily fake out multi-dimensional arrays with more than two dimensions. Cheers! Hans
