GOOD QUESTION!   I don't know what the hex number they expect is ..... I had
figured it was the a underscore character.......bad assumption on my part.

As far as the example, I'm figuring here that it was ASCII.

Now that I know what questions to ask I can find out more info.

Is the example output you were given ASCII or EBCDIC?

Also, what is the hex?  Not what character appears on

your screen, but what is the hexidecimal number the

client is expecting?
