If I have to maintain a separate binding directory for each program then I might as well list the modules on the create command -- especially for service programs. I am presuming that the create command is defined once in a change management tool thus no advantage to using a binding directory per program when I could as easily have a build script per program. The only advantage I can see would be if I did not use a build tool. If I am using ILE and do not use a build tool then I would be an idiot. Even a simple build 'tool' such as a CL program containing the appropriate CRTxxx command would be better than nothing.
