Just some random thoughts/questions.....
Is the logical pointing to the correct physical ?
As you know - try to release by setll ?
Try to use oper extender (N) on the read/chain to the file?
Perform a dummy except ?
How about the unlock op code ?
How about dltovr(*all)
Is it your interactive job that is locking the file or someone elses?

Does this make any sense?
