It may be that if you start on position 983 and your string will be of 1082 long
the result is 2065 and the original source field is just 2000 long.  Maybe the
line should be:

C                   Eval      Line = %SubSt(data:S:100)

I guess...

Hello all,
I am doing a %subst function, but i get an error, need enlightenment.

C                   Eval      Line = %SubSt(data:S:E)

Length or start position is out of range for the string operation (C G D
F).

S = 0983. and  E = 1082.

Is this message referring to E?
What is the largest value i can have?

I need to Subst a field of 2000 char into fields of 100, any other
suggestions?/
