Ren,

There has to be a lot missing from this SQL sample.  Perhaps the chinese
character condition did not come through the email well.  Also there seems
to be a mismatch in the number of left parenthesis versus right
parenthesis.

          My SQLRPG have a declare cursor statement as follows,



DECLARE A1 CURSOR FOR SELECT GSVL01.SVSGMN,

GSVL01.SVLDES,GSVL01.SVSGVL ,GCRL01.CRDESC FROM GSVL01,GCRL01

WHERE (GCRL01.CRSG03=GSVL01.SVSGVL)  AND

(GSVL01.SVSGMN='ACCOUNT')  AND

(GSVL01.SVLDES <> GCRL01.CRDESC)

AND (GCRL01.CRDESC NOT IN

(SELECT GCRL01.CRDESC FROM GCRL01 WHERE GCRL01.CRDESC=

AND (GCRL01.CRDESC <>

 'Invalid Account'

 AND  GCRL01.CRDESC <> ' ÎÞЧ¿ÆÄ¿ ')

ORDER BY 3



the problem is if I ommit the chinese character condition, the statement
is ok to retriver data, but including it,no data selecting, Why and How to
handle it?

Any Suggestion?
