What comes to mind is the SNDRCVF command.
First declare the name of the display file in your CL program.
This will define any input fields to your CL program.

Then simply do a SNDRCVF RCDFMT(yourfmt).
The program will wait for input from the user.
Then do whatever needs doing once the user presses enter.
