Free format RPG allows you to write code in a free format style similar to PC type languages. So instead of: C EVAL X = Y you would have: /free x = y; /end-free The /free and /end-free are compiler directives that tell the compiler you are now coding in free format RPG. I don't have any documentation on it nor do I know where to point you. I would recommend using CODE/400 or similar GUI editor when making the switch to free format.
